The Bowen Rotary club will be working at the Bowen Island Recycling Depot (B.I.R.D.) between July 6 and July 21, 2021.
We look forward to the donations of refundable beverage containers to B.I.R.D from the good citizens of Bowen Island during this period.
Rotary needs volunteers. It is not necessary to be a Rotary member to participate. Call Ross Patterson for more information 604.947.9062.
This project raises much needed funds for Rotary projects.
Below is the table with the volunteer shifts (1st names or 1st name+last initial only). If you are unsure when your shift is scheduled, please check here.
B.I.R.D instructions for volunteers at this stage of the pandemic: We are not required to wear masks during the shifts, but volunteers must do what is comfortable for them. They will need gloves and if the weather is rainy, they might need more than one pair, as they can get quite wet while sorting. Sturdy shoes are recommended.
