Registration is open for the Rotary Run for Rwanda 2022!
Bib pick-up is from 8:15 am on run day.

Please join us on Saturday 27th August at 9:00 am for a 10K run, or a 5K run or walk. Children of 9 and under can sign up for the 1.5K run which takes off at 8:30 am, or do the 5K instead.

There will be the usual water stops and delicious snacks, prizes from Lululemon and Kintec, and lots more, thanks to our generous sponsors.

And we have a family rate too! $60 for five family members. Remember to sign up each member separately when you register.

As ever, all proceeds go to Komera Canada, a local charity that fundraises for young women at high school and university in Rwanda. We look forward to seeing you there! To register for the run, click here! <<

In 2011 Bowen Rotary took over the well-known Run for the Ferry on Bowen Island as previous organisers were unwilling to take on the work for another year. Rotary changed the event to raise funds in support of the education of young girls in Rwanda.

The run starts on the municipal dock adjacent to the ferry terminal and ends at the public library lawn just up the road. This is principally a trail run with a very short section on a quiet road.

All proceeds from the run go to Komera Canada, a Canadian registered charity, that supports the education of girls in rural Rwanda. Please check out the website www.komeracanada.ca for information on this worthy charity.

For any further information, please refer to the Komera Canada website (link above) or email rotaryrunforrwanda@gmail.com.
