In this presentation Peter brings us face to face with one of society’s most difficult questions – how to balance risk to life vs the cost of reducing that risk. No ‘solution’ is presented – indeed the presentation starts and ends with questions. Instead the intent is to present some of the differing ways western society brings to bear on this issue. The audience is encouraged to examine or re-examine their own views, and to discuss the issue after the presentation, and in their lives thereafter.
