Dr. Uri Burstyn is a Vancouver veterinary surgeon with 3 clinics. When he decided to create helpful Youtube videos about pet care he quickly achieved millions of hits and over 400,000 subscribers

In addition to his broadcasts that help millions better manage their pets, he is an accomplished surgeon who was the first veterinary surgeon to offer minimally invasive, laparoscopic surgery on a routine basis in Western Canada. This involved purchasing the highly sophisticated equipment, as well as the investment of several years of advanced training required to gain the necessary expertise to perform the procedures at the highest level.

His commitment to minimally invasive surgery, previously only performed in human medicine, allows him to provide the gold-standard of care to animal patients. He has been performing these surgeries for the past eleven years and provides a province-wide referral service for minimally invasive surgery.

His professional approach to veterinary medicine can be summarized as, “Kindness, Compassion, and Evidence-Based Medicine.”
